James 1: 13-26 Be Doers of the Word!

I knew I was in trouble when I had only sketched out 5 of the 16 verses that needed to go on the page.  Whoops!  (I still had everything below the yellow mark to draw!)

But, since the last time I faced James my thinking had changed.  In 2013 I was thinking of "good and perfect gifts from above" as THINGS... this time I was thinking of the talents the Lord give, and the other spiritual gifts that aren't "things" at all.  Sure, He gives us those too, but the other "non-things" are far more valuable and needed to be shown as such.  As you can see from the above picture I had drawn out the talent type gifts, but then I woke up a couple of days later thinking I needed to show them coming down from "the Father of Heavenly lights"  I wanted it to be a whole dark galaxy thing with God's hand and gifts but there just wasn't enough room to show that...so I improvised ...

This is why I love doing this...every time I try it, I meditate on each individual scripture and the Lord shows me something different...It would be easy to just draw what I did last time, but sometimes there is a better solution.

Seven Things God Hates...

In Proverbs 6:16-19 the writer lists seven things God hates:

The reason I wanted to highlight this scripture is that THREE of the seven have to do with lying! Just thinking that with all the fake news and accusations happening in our nation right now, there is going to be a price to pay! PRAY FOR THE ELECTION!

The best part is that it has a pencil and eraser along with the four colors of pens!  SO COOL!  I have gotten two in less than a month and have another in my Amazon basket to send to a friend.  It will be great for Bible note taking as well as drawing in my Bible.

One of the complaints on the Amazon comments was that the ink runs out too quickly so I tried to run out on the following picture... nope, it is still writing!  This is an 8.25" x 10.25" spread so there is a lot of ink used up.

The COOLEST software EVER!

Oh man!  It has been so long since I posted anything I am having to remember how!

I just got a new software package that is so amazing that I just have to share with you....and OF COURSE I'm going to use my "For You" picture to demonstrate what it does.

I was able to create this video in less than 45 minutes after I paid for it!  I posted the video on facebook for my friends to see it and the first two people that said they loved it I made a video just for them.

One raises and sells Natural/Organic Beef and the other sells real estate.  I created both of the following within an hour!  SO COOL!  SO EASY!  I was able to use "canned" pictures to create these, I just had to put them where I wanted them and add words...

My "end goal" is to do more of the "For Me" type videos so I might be back here doing more of those.  I have to do more work for that type of video because the package comes with ZERO pre drawn characters and scenes for Bible type presentations.  No problem, I can draw those.

Four years ago I did this quick drawing to color...I made it available for free  HERE to anyone that wanted it for Sunday School classes, or whatever.

Today's New Challenge

Today my cousin asked me to create a key-chain for her 8 year old grandson using the "Chosen" charm...oh, and he loves LSU.  Hummmm.... I can not tell a lie, gifts, ANY gifts for men, much less little boys have always been a problem.  I don't "do" male gifts!  But, here I was faced with a challenge.

First I took the ninny way out and showed her this:  (UGH! - zero imagination!)

Ho-hum.

Brenda said she wanted me to use some leather on it... back to the drawing board.  After 4 failed attempts I finally came up with one that I was happy with to show her.  HIT!  I might have to make one for myself, I like it that much... though I don't care a thing about LSU so the hanging charm will have to be different.

Moving In A New Direction .... again.

YIKES!!!  It has been over a year since I posted here!  Life has taken a huge turn so I really haven't had anything to share, but, I just realized that a Facebook Page that I now have (today) is sending folks here!  Gotta say, Facebook still confuses me.

ANYWAY, the change ... I am doing more Jewelry making and far less doodling theses days.  Well, actually, I have taken my doodles into my jewelry design!  How cool is that?!

I have found a company that will manufacture charms for me so that's my new THANG.   I write the words, using my own handwriting and they make it happen! .. Oh, and then I make the final bracelet/necklace/keychain/whatever ...

- "Handmade" (by God) - reminder that you were no accident - GOD made you, on purpose, and HE had a plan for your life before you were even born! (Jeremiah 1:5 - "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart...")

- "Loved" (by God) - reminder that no matter how unloved you feel, GOD loves you! (John 16:27 - Jesus said..."the Father himself loves you because you have loved me and believed that I came from God")

Making SVG Files for Cutters Now

An online friend, Sally Carpenter, asked me to come up with a zentangle leaf to cut on her Cricut.  

This is what I came up with... it isn't beautiful but it is a beautiful thing to weed.  Very few little bits left behind if you just lift the stem and put the leaf away almost all the unwanted bits stay behind.

Journal to Lose Weight...

In 2014 I did a daily journal… here is a page… I LOVE my journal! I can look at this and tell what I ordered from Amazon, where I ate, the movies I saw, the weight I lost (2 pounds, even though I ate at Wendy’s, Panda Express, Chili’s and two pig troughs (aka: all you can eat buffets) . I lost 84 pounds that year! In 2015 I didn’t do a journal and I found a lot of those pounds again frown emoticon … There WILL be another journal this year! Just sayn’
