I am so disappointed! I was hoping that this particular picture would be pinned and spread like wildfire...not because I drew it, but because it is so critical that we Christians "GET IT!" America is in trouble and no one seems to care! Everyone says, we have to vote for the "right" person! We have to pray! ... BUT, no one "GETS IT!" A nation gets the leadership it deserves... look at the history of Israel!!!
2 Kings 17 (the whole chapter)
20 And the Lord rejected all the seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until he had cast them out of his sight.
After the last election I was speaking to someone and saying I could not believe that people didn't see "that one coming". (I had been fasting for almost a year because I "saw what was coming".) The person I was talking to called me a "watchman for the Lord" because it had been so clear to me, so early, when so few other Christians saw it.
I had not even heard of the "watchman" so I started researching the word....
In the Old Testament the cities had watchmen sitting on the wall watching for enemies coming ... they could see trouble coming before anyone else and it was their job to warn the people. If you search with the word "watchman" or "watchmen" on www.Biblegateway.com you'll find lots of references. THIS one is the one that I feel is a warning to ME.
Ezekiel 33:3-6
Amplified Bible (AMP)
3 If when he sees the sword coming upon the land, he blows the trumpet and warns the people,
4 Then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, and the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
5 He heard the sound of the trumpet and did not take warning; his blood shall be upon himself. But he who takes warning shall save his life.
6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, he is taken away in and for his perversity and iniquity, but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.
You know what, I don't know if my friend was right about me being a "watchman"... but I'm not taking any chances on it!!!

You are so right....I wish I had a blog, but I am putting it on my facebook page. So many people pray and lead sinful lives and wonder why their prayers are not answered.
ReplyDeleteThank YOU Texana for sharing it anyway you can... this one hammers in my brain every time I I hear someone say..."We need to pray for the nation" OF COURSE we do, but so much more is required and no one wants to take responsibility for their part in the failing of America...It really does scare me. I have visions of Nazi Germany in our future and we do nothing. I always wondered how good men could do nothing back then...and I'm now witnessing it. Tears flowing.
