WordArt

.
I went to Dick Blick Wednesday and bought myself all kinds of colors!  Lots of watercolor pencils (LOVE) and several Copics (OUCH!!!)  I have resisted them this long and finally gave in and got some.  I have to admit I do love the "paintbrush" tip... but OUCH!!!
Since then, I have been playing.... here are a few things that I did from scratch...my very own self.

  2. I just stumbled upon your blog via Pinterest...what a great site....the decorated letters called to be as I do a bit of calligraphy.....mostly foundational hand mind you...but open to anything. I also make luxurious greetings cards.....
I was reading this post when you said 'I went to Dick Blick today' augh.....I would love to be able to go to Dick Blick and take my pick of all the loveliness therein....I know I can go on-line but it's not the same....welcome to the Copic club....I don't have many as they are expensive and our local art shop is hopeless at keeping the stock updated....yes, I can get them on line but again I like to touch and feel!!! Now I'm off to browse a little more on your fascinating site.
Like to peek at my work...?

  3. Hi Joyce! THANKS!! for your sweet words and for bothering to stop by AND COMMENT!

I COMPLETELY understand the need to touch/feel/test! I will tell you though, you would be amazed at how much more expensive they are in store than on line! Seriously, my latest passion is Inktense watercolor pencils (OMG!!!)... but I had to pay $2.39 each in the store and I could have ordered them for $1.43 each! Plus shipping...course that would be free if I ordered $99 (EASY TO DO!) I was very proud of myself the other day I went with a 40% coupon and left w/o using it! SHOCKING! But, I wanted to research the pencils and I'm so glad I did. I went back the next day and got a 24 set of Inktense with the coupon. YES! The beauty of them is that they become permanent once they have been "activated" (or water added)... Meaning I can color fabric and it be permanent! AND VIBRANT! OH MERCY! Will blog about it soon, but getting ready for a craft show this Tuesday and I'm behind!

    Thanks again for stopping by!
